This larger model replaces a smaller one I recently lost. The spike and knife are excellent, and the pliers handle light tasks like tightening or loosening shackles well. For heavier tasks, a multi-tool is better, but this fits perfectly in my PFD pocket and is always accessible, unlike risking my expensive Leatherman. I'd give it four stars; the sheath split when I first used it, and the included "lanyard" is a flimsy piece of leather I wouldn't trust.
